Currently I attend California
State University Northridge where I am working towards a teaching
credential so I can teach elementary school.
In June of 2000 I received my BA in Human Development and a minor
in Teacher Education from University of California San Diego. While
at UCSD I spent several hours in different schools across San Diego
County where I received an enormous amount of experience working
with children of all ages and backgrounds. Although I miss San Diego,
I do not miss the countless weekends I spent in my room doing homework,
studying all night, and being over 500 miles away from Zac. Nonetheless
I'm proud of graduating from UCSD and I feel that during the four
years I was there I learned a lot about myself and the true meaning
of love.
I have worked at Islands Restaurant as a server for 5 years now.
I'm lucky because Islands has been nice enough to transfer me to
several locations throughout my college years. Although I am a superb
waitress my days at Islands will soon be coming to an end. I plan
on leaving Islands as soon as I get my teaching credential. It will
be a sad day when I no longer have to serve Island's huge basket
of fries with ranch.
In the Fall I will begin my last year in the credential program.
Once I receive my credential I would like to teach first, second,
or third grade.

My
Family
Just so everyone knows who some
of the VIPs are on the left side of the sanctuary, I compiled
these mini-biographies and scanned in some photos of the Garcia
family.

My dad has worked for LAUSD for some time now as a Plumber.
He is a hard worker and has always provided for our
family. Although I am a very independent woman, I still
know how to make dad dig into his pocket for a few extra
dollars for me to go shopping. Hey what are dads for
right?

My mom is going on her 15th year with Mount Gleason Middle
School and LAUSD. Recently she decided to accept the position
of office manager, which makes her the boss of all the secretaries
(although she's always been the boss.) In addition, my mom
is also a full time wife and mother. My dad, brother, and
I keep my mom on her toes and constantly busy. Luckily she
has no problem being the best mom in the world.

My not so little brother attends California State University
Northridge, which means we go to the same school. J.B.
is working towards a degree in communications. He also
works at the Olive Garden as a server. He is a very
busy guy, and has something going on every minute of
the day. He enjoys the company of his friends and having
a good time.

Some
(Useless) Facts about Me
I've never broke a bone or been
stung by a bee.
I played baseball with the boys until I was 13, then my mom
and dad made me start playing with the girls.
I still have the very first card Zac ever sent me and remember
the song that was playing the first time we danced. The first
song we ever danced to was I wanna be your man, pretty ironic
huh?
I weighed more in 5th grade than I do today, which means I
was a fat little girl.
I hate it when Zac picks his toe nails, I love it when he
surprises me with ice cream.
I love to eat mash potatoes and BBQ sauce.
I put ketchup on all types of steak. If we have steak at the
wedding you better bet I'll have my bottle of Ketchup next
to me.
I have messy handwriting and I don't hold scissors properly,
but I'm gonna teach the future leaders of America how to write
and cut.
I love a computer science nerd (just kidding sweetheart).
I will be the BEST WIFE EVER.
